Rock and roll trivia: though The Band/Staples Singer performance appeared in the Scorsese documentary "The Last Waltz," the collaboration was not actually part of the 1976 farewell concert - it was filmed on an MGM sound stage in the days following the show at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco.
