"Over 100 protests took place around the U.K. on Saturday for Save Our Libraries Day. Librarians, writers, and readers stormed local branches to protest the government’s possible plans to close 400 libraries. According to The Bookseller, protesters hosted read-ins, storytelling, and workshops. Musicians Sly and Reggie traveled to five libraries in jeopardy and played their “We Love Libraries” song (listen to the song in the video embedded above)."
As they say in the song "if you kill libraries, you kill readers/if you kill libraries, you kill reading."
